Ring Size Guide
1. Always double-check your measurements for accuracy.
2. Your finger size can fluctuate slightly during the day, over time, and depending on the temperature. If measuring your actual finger, do so in the afternoon when your hands are warm for best results. If you fall between two ring sizes, choose the larger size (or half size) to ensure a comfortable fit.
3. Ensure you measure the exact finger on which you intend to wear your ring (or a ring that you wear on the same finger). Your ring size will vary between your fingers as well as between your hands.
4. Free-size rings allow you to adjust and expand the ring to about half a ring size. LAVENDA offers two types; 1. the ring isn’t closed in the back and can be expanded by making a little gap between the ends, and 2. the ring crosses in the front as a design element and can be closed or opened a bit. Please note that:
- Too much stretching and contracting can be damaging to the ring
- They aren’t quite as strong as a closed ring, however, if you don’t resize them more than a few times and remove them properly, you shouldn’t have a problem.
METHOD 1: MEASURE A RING
-
Find a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you intend to wear your new ring on.
-
Measure the internal diameter of the ring, using a ruler or measuring tape. To do so, ensure you are using a ruler with millimetre (mm) measurements, then place your ring on top of the ruler and measure the inside of the circle – in other words, the part that is in contact with your finger.
Jewellery Care Guide
Jewellery Care Tips
Jewellery is not only a symbol of beauty and style but also an investment and often holds sentimental value. To keep your precious pieces looking their best and ensure their longevity, it’s essential to practice proper jewellery care. Here are some helpful tips to maintain your jewellery's sparkle and shine.
General Care Tips
-
Store Properly: Keep your jewellery in a clean, dry place. Use a jewellery box with compartments or pouches to prevent pieces from scratching each other. Consider using anti-tarnish strips for silver jewellery.
-
Avoid Chemicals: Remove jewellery before using household cleaners, swimming in chlorinated pools, or applying lotions and perfumes. Chemicals can tarnish or damage metals and gemstones.
-
Wear with Care: Put on jewellery after applying makeup and hairstyles to prevent exposure to sprays and powders. Remove jewellery before engaging in activities that could result in damage, such as sports or gardening.
Cleaning Techniques
-
Gold and Platinum: Use a solution of warm water and mild dish soap. Soak the jewellery for a few minutes, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth.
-
Silver: Use a silver polish cloth or a special silver cleaning solution to remove tarnish. For a DIY method, mix baking soda with water to make a paste, gently rub it on the silver, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
